Fuck anyone who things that Asami is just a weak little princess. Fuck anyone who thinks that she’s only there to create love triangle drama. This is a girl who spent all her life being catered to, with every reason to let herself be spoiled and soft. But she didn’t let that happen. She didn’t want that for herself. She wanted to be better, stronger. And when the time came to prove herself, she did a hundred times over. She stood up to her own father, her only remaining family member and the man who raised her, because she knew what he was doing was wrong. The strength of character it takes to do something like that? To stick to your morals even when the people you love are screaming at you to give them up? That takes so much more than people give her credit for. Asami is my favorite character, and she will remain my favorite character throughout the series, because she is the person that every strong female character should strive to emulate.
